Altinvest Online Platform - Laravel Developer - PHP/MySQL

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SDE 3 - BE (Laravel) to architect and implement scalable systems while advancing code quality and maintainability. The ideal candidate will bring strong Laravel and MySQL expertise, applying patterns and practices that deliver secure, performant, and business-aligned solutions.Responsibilities :- Design & Build : Develop scalable features and services using Laravel (APIs, background jobs, authentication, event listeners, microservices, etc).- Code Quality : Review PRs, enforce SOLID principles, and introduce patterns to reduce technical debt.- Performance : Optimise database queries, caching strategies, and asynchronous workflows.- Reliability : Implement effective debugging, logging, and monitoring practices.- Security : Ensure secure coding practices including input validation, authorisation, and secrets management.- Mentorship : Guide and mentor mid/junior engineers, conduct design/code reviews, and foster engineering best practices.- AI-driven Development : Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation in day-to-day workflows.- 3+ years building systems with Laravel, PHP & MySql. Worked On Micro Service Architecture.Technical Skills :- Strong Laravel expertise (v9-12.x) : service container, Eloquent ORM, middleware, events, queues, caching.- Proficiency in PHP 8+, OOP, design patterns, and unit testing (PHPUnit).- Expertise in MySQL : schema design, indexing, and query optimisation.- Experience with caching/in-memory stores : Redis, Memcached.- Hands-on with message queues (Redis queues, RabbitMQ, SQS, or equivalent).- Familiar with Docker / containerised environments.- Experience with AWS services : ECS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda, Cloudwatch, SES, etc.- Ability to effectively use AI-powered tools (e.g., for code generation, refactoring, documentation, testing, and productivity improvements).
