About the job

We are looking for a Junior Video Editor who enjoys creating short-form, entertaining, and engaging content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, has a good sense of humour and storytelling, and knows how to turn raw footage into content that keeps viewers watching.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Edit YouTube Shorts, videos, and other short-form social content.
2. Create engaging humour, entertainment, and kids-focused videos.
3. Edit raw footage into fast-paced, entertaining, and visually engaging content.
4. Understand hook, pacing, retention and storytelling in short-form videos.
5. Add captions, text animations, transitions, sound effects, music and visual effects.
6. Use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation.
7. Create engaging visual moments using zooms, cuts, effects, memes, reactions and comedic timing.
8. Adapt videos for different social media formats and aspect ratios.
9. Work with creative briefs, scripts, and references to develop the right visual treatment.
10. Source, organize, and manage footage, music, graphics, and other production assets.
11. Use AI tools for content creation, enhancement, ideation, image/video generation,n and editing.
12. Keep up with YouTube, Instagram, and short-form content trends.
13. Stay updated with the latest editing techniques, trends, and AI innovations.
14. Manage multiple videos and deliver content within timelines.
15. Ensure final videos meet brand guidelines and quality standards.

Other requirements

1. Candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience.

2. A diploma or bachelor's degree in Video Editing, Animation, Motion Graphics, VFX, Design, Media, or a related field is preferred.

3. Candidates graduating in 2026 may apply.

4. Laptop/PC suitable for professional video editing, with a minimum of 16 GB RAM.

5. Stable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, uninterrupted home workspace.

6. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.

7. Hands-on experience with Adobe After Effects.

8. Good understanding of short-form video editing.

9. Strong sense of timing, pacing, storytelling, and visual humour.

10. Ability to create engaging videos that capture attention within the first few seconds.

11. Good understanding of social media trends, memes, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

12. Ability to edit content appropriately for kids and family-friendly audiences.

13. Good understanding of music, sound effects, captions, and visual transitions.

14. Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.

15. Ability to understand a brief and translate it into an engaging video.

16. Experience with AI image or AI video tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, Firefly, and Canva AI.

17. Understanding of AI-based features in modern video editing workflows.

18. Willingness to learn and adopt new AI creative technologies.

Salary

Probation:

Duration: 3 months

Salary during probation: ₹12,000 - 15,000 /month (only for freshers)

After probation:

Annual CTC: ₹ 2,00,000 - 3,00,000 /year
