Automation Engineer (PLC/DCS/SCADA)

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks an Automation Engineer II in Pune to design, develop, and commission PLC/DCS/SCADA automation solutions for bioprocess systems. This on-site role combines UNICORN control software with Rockwell hardware while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure automation solutions for chromatography, filtration, and bioprocess systems per customer requirements and international standards
- Develop PLC/SCADA code, perform testing, debugging, and optimization of automation software
- Prepare technical documentation including P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring drawings, IO lists, and control panel specifications
- Commission systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide user training at customer sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including suppliers, customers, and project managers on elegant automation solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, E&TC, or Computer Science
- Minimum 6+ years post-qualification experience in automation engineering
- Hands-on expertise with Rockwell PLC, Siemens platforms, and UNICORN software
- Knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, ISA/IEC standards, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience commissioning filtration, separation, and purification equipment in biotech
- Factory test and/or site commissioning work experience
