The Vice Principal is responsible to the Principal: -

For the strategic development and delivery of a relevant and consistent academic policy across the School.

To assist the Principal in the appointment of new teaching staff.

To oversees the work of Heads of School related to the delivery of the agreed curriculum, and the development of learning and the academic development of students within their relevant section of school.

To oversees the work of HoDs as they, and their departmental teachers, deliver and develop their agreed curriculum.

To oversees the teaching staff and is responsible for their professional development.

To assist in the Evaluation process and the person responsible for the timetable to ensure the smooth and functioning working of these areas.

Work with the Kishore and Kesari Vibhag.

The following are particular areas of responsibility for the Vice Principal:-

Training of Karyakars : To coordinate and train all Karyakars / teachers and support staff and facilitate their professional development and enhance their skills and knowledge.

Developmen t: Work closely with the teaching staff to review and enhance the school's curriculum. Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations. Support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies and assessment methods.

Curriculum Assessment and Improvement : Analyze student performance data and collaborate with the Principal and teaching staff to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum. Propose and implement improvements based on data analysis and educational research.

Out Reach Activities : To coordinate outreach activities (Day Boarding) for Vikas Kendra.

Overall Academic Policy (Assist the Principal in consultation with coordinators of Kishore and Kesari Vibhag according to the organizational structure.)

Curriculum planning and development of Teacher’s activity cards.

Assessment and marking policies

The overall timetablestructure – subject and session allocation.

Staff provision for extra-curricular activity within the academic timetable – Culture and Sports

Registration/Admission procedures

Reporting procedures

Classroom and study space requirements

Co-curricular programme, Alignment with NEP

Execution of academic policy (in consultation with Coordinators of Kishore and Kesari Vibhag)

C hairing a curriculum committee to consider curriculum planning and development

Individual subjects on offer for any particular year

Allocation of classrooms (in consultation with the person responsible for the Timetable)

Report schedules

Coursework schedules and penaltiesfor adherence by students

Preparatory practice and implementation (in consultation with Kishore and Kesari Coordinators)

Overall financial strategy for academicdepartments, (in consultation with Accounts Office).

Summaries of future academic staffing needs and assistance in appointments. (For the Principal)

Staff timetables and loadings (in consultation with the Principal)

Staff development, (perhaps delegated if a suitable person is available).

Weekly meeting with each HoD (Coordinators) to discuss issues, strategies and development ideas.

The supervision of the regularupdating of departmental handbooks/Trello Cards.

Regular supervision of assemblies - “Ek Hai”, at the direction of the Principal.

Attend Leadership Team, Management Team, Admissions, Finance and other meetings as directed by the Principal.

Meetings with inter and intra department heads.

Notice boards in staffroom – and an overview of display acrossthe school as and when needed.

Assist the outreach heads and taking an initiative for developing Day-boarding school.
